Our monthly Strength + Balance class is designed to help you tap into your inner strength while exploring the building blocks of arm balances and inversions. Led by Iris and her team, this 90-minute practice breaks down poses step by step, helping you understand the mechanics, alignment, and mindset that support these powerful shapes.

Each month focuses on a specific pose — from Firefly to Crow to Handstand — with thoughtful sequencing to warm up the body. Whether you take the pose or simply explore the steps toward it, you’ll leave feeling stronger, more confident, and inspired by what your body can do.

This class is open to all students looking to grow their practice — no prior inversion or arm balance experience needed.

November Strength + Balance: Pistol Squats

Join the Strength + Balance team: Iris, Amy, Kim & Kathleen for our next empowering workshop! This month, we’re tackling Pistol Squats, the ultimate test of balance, strength, and control. Before you panic: we’ll break it all down with props, drills, and step-by-step progressions so every body can find success. You’ll learn how to safely build stability, mobility, and confidence in one of yoga’s most functional poses.

No matter where you are in your journey, this class is designed to make poses more approachable. With props, variations, and supportive guidance, you’ll discover new strength, core activation, and technique you can apply to all areas of your practice.
