Initially, Melanie was drawn to yoga for the physical aspects of the practice as a means to cross-train while maintaining a strength-training regime. She soon realized how yoga had a profound positive effect physically as well as mentally.
Melanie was curious to know more about the philosophies of yoga and soon found herself immersed in a 200 hour teacher-training Yoga Alliance certification program sponsored by Advanced Yoga Studies. The studies proved to be a ‘game-changer’ in her life realizing the first step was to open her heart to learn what made her ‘tick’ in order to live a life full of compassion, love and acceptance.
Melanie will always think of herself as a student, however, always grateful for the lessons yoga teaches her each time she steps on her mat.
