People practice yoga for a wide range of reasons, from improving health to learning how to let go. A simple internet search will provide you with plenty of facts, statistics, and promises about why it might be for you.

 

As for us, the consensus among our instructors is simply that yoga has made us all feel better. Our list of reasons for practicing it is endless—and we’d love to chat with you about why we came to The Mat and why we’ve stayed.

Other things you should know:

  • Our teachers will customize your class in order to meet whatever personal goals you set for your own practice.
  • You don’t have to be flexible, strong, thin, or any other “type” to practice yoga. Come as you are.
  • Yoga can be a spiritual practice, but it’s not a religion.
  • You won’t have to bend in half or stand on your head. (However, if that is your goal, we can help you get there.)
