You may want to know:

  • Personal goals for practicing Yoga range from improving one’s health to learning how to let go, to release.
  • You do not have to be flexible, strong, thin or any other label to practice Yoga.
  • Yoga can be a spiritual practice, but it is not a religion.
  • You won’t have to bend in half or stand on your head (although if that is your goal, we can help you get there) and, our teachers will customize your class so that your personal goals for practicing are met.

And, one more thing we want you to know:

A simple internet search will provide you with lists and facts and statistics and promises about why to practice Yoga. At The Mat, we do know this; the consensus of our instructors is simply that Yoga has made them feel better and the list of reasons are endless.

So, please ask each of us your questions because we would love to chat with each of you
